A cyst is a sac like closed structure which contains gas, fluid or some semisolid material. Cysts can occur on any part of the body and in any age group. They can be small or large or some may be so small that they can only be detected under a microscope. Few of them occur so large that they can easily displace the other tissues and organs. There are various cyst boils symptoms that are described here.

Due to bacterial intrusion inside the skin, cysts boils are formed. The formation of cysts infection usually takes place in various stages. In the initial stage, they begin with a small form of nodule which is soft and later it grows with a hard coating. The cyst formation is dependent on the severity and nature of the infection. Few of them stay small while some of them grow large. The size of the cyst can be from 3 centimeters to 10 centimeters. These cysts usually cause unbearable pain and high fever.

As these boils reach maturity, they fill with pus. This pus is caused due to the action taken by the body's immune system to stay away from the bacterial attacks and invasion. The pus contains bacteria protein, dead skin, protein substances and white blood cells. The cyst boils have roots below the skin and have more than one head which recurrently occurs.

Types of Cyst Boils Pilonidal Cyst

These boils usually grow on the buttock regions. During initial stages, these grow in minor form on the area where there is less hair. When the hair follicles get infected and later due to prolonged sitting, the infection occurs. Boils are formed which causes severe pain and the person is unable to sit.

Hidradenitis Suppurativa

These are the rare form of cyst and the exact cause for these cyst boils is still unknown. This is the complex form of boil which occurs repeatedly and has largely filled pus on its head. These boils occur in the groin area, breast area and the armpit area. The roots of these boils are deep and due to the underneath skin inflammation, it causes many other skin diseases.

Furuncle

This is a skin abscess which is caused because of infection of wound on skin or the hair follicles caused by various bacteria. The boil which has one head is called a furuncle and the cysts which have more than one head are called carbuncles.

Cystic Acne

This is a complex form of acne and grows rapidly on skin surfaces. Due to clogging of oil ducts or the sebaceous openings, the cystic acne is formed. These acnes are formed mainly on the facial areas and the area where sweat and oil glands are active like the buttocks, groin area and armpits.

Cyst Boils Symptoms

At the initial stage of formation, the affected area will look red and will contain lot of pus in it around the hair follicle. These might be warm, tender and painful. Some of the boils can cause you high fever. You can easily indentify the boils and can consult a doctor for treatment. The cysts which are located just below the skin are usually noticeable and can be detected while you examine them with your own hands. The internal organ cysts which are located on your liver or kidney are detected by X-ray, ultrasound or CAT scan. These cysts usually do not show any symptom when they occur.

Cyst boils usually occur on the facial areas, buttocks, armpit and groin regions. The lumps of the cysts would be large and they can cause inflammation. The main symptom of these boils is they cause high fever and pain.

These are the cyst boil symptoms which should be observed carefully and treated as early as possible.
